Cobbles

MYSTERIOUSLY, the cobbles on Mann Island’s pedestrian entrance – expensively laid by Merseyside Development Corporation – have all disappeared in the demolition of warehouses to make way for the grotesque black pyramid flats.

Where have they gone?

To south Manchester – paving Footballers’ Wives-style villas, perchance?

When Edmond Street’s expensive paving stones and cobbles were lifted for service maintenance, it was left scarred with asphalt in-fill. Can they finish the job, as promised?
